The comeback of the A-LINE wedding gown.

the A-line wedding gowns are usually seen in our parents wedding pictures,, ooh yes that's true.😆  But just mid this year it made a comeback. This type of wedding gowns are the royalty type of gowns. They were seen at the royal wedding of Princess Diana of England, the Buganda royal queen Nabbagereka Naginda, and recently the Duchess of Cambridge and wife to Prince William, Kate.

The A-line is most at times confused with the Cinderella or round wedding gowns. But here is the difference between the two. an A-line gown has a capital letter A shape from the waist downwards .. that's like a triangle shape. However the round/Cinderella gown has a semicircle shape from the waist downwards.
Lets look at the Bukedde TV personality, Fiona Kirabo's wedding gown and many more.

If you look closely you will notice that is an A-line gown. This is a very beautiful gown. It a statement wedding gown. I doubt not that Fiona Kirabo felt like royalty on her special day

This Nigerian bride, Zira wore an A-line gown and notice clearly has an almost flat design at the front. The gown doent spread out much from the waist. The spread out is mainly on the sides and at the back. This a very unique gown goven the color, material and the simplicity. She looked amazing it. just the right choice for her.

One of the most talented photographers in Uganda, Katende Mohamed and his bride. She rocked this A-line gown. A very simple but elegant gown. You should note that the A-line gowns are usually much lighter than the Cinderella gowns because they have less or no stiff at the waist line. A bride is definitely guaranteed more comfort in this gown than in a round/Cinderella gown.

The first picture is a model in a blue gown with a high slit and the second picture is of Bridget, Barbie Kyagulayi's sister. She wore a custom made gown by Beryl Anita of Beryl Qouture for her wedding that happened in August. She looked amazing. This gown is everything i dream and want i must say. The similarity in all the A-line gown that you must note is that they have long trains. the beauty with this is there is no reason for a bride to do a long veil at all or have additional trains added to you gown. the worries of the train being steeped and getting torn are reduced.

Now the question is who would look good in/ suitable for the A-line gown.
A bride with medium burst and small hips can opt for this type of gown.
Ladies with an upside down body shape can wear this gown.
Ladies with extremely very big hip size this gown will package you body elegantly
The ladies of age (i mean around 38 and above depending on your body shape)
Tall ladies this gown is for you in case you ant to appear tall
medium  to large sized women this gown will work wonders for you

If you have half or more qualities above consider trying the A-line gown.

Slim and short ladies please and please don't run for this gown. it wont do you justice

In one of the next blogs i will describe the properties/elements that define a round/Cinderella gown so that you may be able to see the difference between these gowns clearly.
